MY POST SESSION WORKFLOW

When I first started Photography I wondered if I were doing everything I could to protect my images and my sanity. This is how I stay organized after a photo session. I save new session files into a folder titled Projects in my Dropbox Folder (because Dropbox automatically backs up files, whenever you add new files to it). I also backup that folder of Raw images to an external hard drive, for
extra security.

Inside my Projects folder, I organize Sessions by Year-Month-Date-Session Name. For example One session folder could read: 2020.02.18 Lauren’s Cake Smash. Inside of a Session folder I have the following folders: Raw, Retouched, Faves and Blog. The blog folder is for resized and watermarked images that I will blog and the Faves folder is resized images for Instagram and my Website.

When I finish an edit and have uploaded images to my Clients Gallery, my Blog and Social Media, I backup the Retouched and Faves folders to my External Hard drive and delete it from my Dropbox folder.
