The wild and natural beauty of Arthur’s Seat contrasts with Edinburgh’s medieval skyline. This extinct volcanic peak boasts sweeping panoramic views across the city, perfect for those wanting something intimate, distinctive, and a private escape with unforgettable scenery.
EDINBURGH ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS AT ARTHUR’S SEAT
Shannon and Jack decided to take engagement photos in Edinburgh’s famous Arthur’s Seat. We began our photoshoot by St Margaret’s Loch and then we will make our way up to St Anthony’s chapel ruins.
After the photoshoot, I recommend taking a walk down to the oldest pub in Edinburgh – Sheep Head Inn dating back to 1360. There is indoor seating and a patio where you can enjoy pints and food. Or grab a scone at Dr. Neil’s Garden and take a few more photos while exploring Duddingston Kirk.
If you’re contemplating taking your engagement photos at Arthur’s Seat, I highly recommend a sunrise or early morning start time. Sunset here is gorgeous and glowy but be warned it draws a crowd of sunset lovers and hikers.
