Marcena and Donald decided to take engagement photos at Scott Monument in Princes Street Gardens. The garden opens at 7am year round. We met in the early morning, to avoid the tourist crowds. I know what you’re thinking… That’s early! BUUUT… I promise, it’s 100% worth it! You won’t be disappointed!

If you’re contemplating taking your engagement photos at Scott Monument, a prime Edinburgh engagement shoot locations, I highly recommend arriving when the park opens at 7am. Morning is the perfect time to meet in Princes Street Gardens because the sun rises behind the iconic Royal Mile skyline. I love how the light changes in the morning. It starts off soft with pink and purple hues. Then as the sun rises, it illuminates the garden with a warm glow.
